Testimonials & Experiences
"I engaged Bec as my coach 4 years ago for my first Olympic in Noosa and Long Course Triathlon in Huski and has taught me everything I know in triathlon. I had 2 goals in the triathlon world this year, one was to complete one of the biggest and most popular Ironman races in the world, Challenge Roth and to work towards the goal of a sub 12hr Ironman and the 2nd goal was to podium at Callala Bay Classic triathlon. Roth was a tough race, I managed a time of 12hrs 3mins which given the conditions was an awesome result, Callala Bay I ended up coming 1st in my age group and a PB of over 20mins. What I love about training with Racingheart coach Bec Hoschke is that she understands what it’s like to balance work and training and tailors your program to suit the lifestyle you lead. She ensures she fully understands the goals you are working towards and no goal is too big or too small. Her passion for the sport rubs off on her clients!" Claire.
"Where Bec stands above the crowd is not only in her incredible resume on and off the international sporting field, nor wealth of knowledge and coaching expertise in such an array of endurance disciplines but her amazing gift to be able to understand the dynamic nature of the individual athlete to provide a level of support that exceeds the common coach /athlete relationship. Her personal approach to coaching has allowed me to gain incredible confidence in myself as a developing female athlete and to foster an evolving vision of my personal potential. “Trust in the process” are four life changing words I have adopted from Bec. These words allowed me to understand and appreciate the rigours of training and racing my first full ironman but have consequently been applied to many other facets in my life, giving me a greater sense of direction for future ambitions. Above all, her continual emphasis on consciously enjoying every aspect of training and racing reminds the athlete of “why” we do this." Tilly.
"Bec Hoschke – coach extraordinaire! I love her positive attitude, no matter what happens she just keeps on smiling and encouraging me, whilst understanding the challenges of trying to fit a training schedule into an already full up life. I have made huge improvements in my cycling and there is still a long way to go and I wouldn’t want to stay on that path with anyone else. Her experience in training and racing really brings a lot to her ability as a coach, as she speaks from experience and has lived the ups and downs, mentally and physically. Racingheart really is an appropriate name for Bec’s business; everything she does, she does with passion and from the heart. Can’t wait for the next challenge and feel very grateful to have Bec as the number one in my A-Team." Liz.
"I approached Bec after attending an Alpine camp where she was one of the coaches; I was particularly attracted by her ability to relate with long course athletes through her own racing and training. I had been unable to break 5 hours for a 70.3 and 11 hours for 140.6 distance races thus far, and Bec helped me achieve both goals among many others. Bec was able to adjust a program to suit my busy lifestyle, with a focus on all areas including race nutrition, training recovery and mental preparedness. I would highly recommend Bec to any athlete looking for that long course edge." David.
"I love working with Bec. She has a huge heart; is incredibly generous with her knowledge, time and contacts; and seriously knows what she’s doing. In less than a year she’s taken me from average results in short course, to competing a season of 70.3 races and reaching the top 5% of my age group worldwide. Thanks to Bec’s technical pointers I’ve improved in all three disciplines, as well as in nutrition, transition, bike setup and injury management. More importantly, Bec keeps a close eye on how I’m travelling and continuously adjusts my program so that I’m able to keep on top of things. Not only is it focused on race goals but also changes to fit where I’m at personally. As such, I’ve been able to keep my training consistent for the first time, which ultimately means better results for the same amount of effort. Bec’s shown me that it’s possible to absorb serious triathlon training into a super busy life, and continue to enjoy and improve in both! I’m looking forward to seeing what results the season ahead will bring."Charlotte.
"I would like to thank Bec for being such an inspiring coach and helping me to achieve things in endurance racing that I never would have imagined! Bec uses the wealth of knowledge that she has gained from many years of personal experience in high-level competition to design training programs that have helped me to build strength and consistency. She has a great depth of understanding of how the body adapts to training and how to balance building distance, speed and intensity with the right recovery to get the best out of an athlete. She is also very passionate about the mental aspects of racing and teaching athletes how to channel mental strength in racing to achieve the best performance. Her guidance with well structured training programs for good physical preparation and the mental side of race planning and execution has helped me greatly. On top of her expertise, Bec is a caring, positive and enthusiastic coach. I always leave a session feeling energised and inspired! I would highly recommend her coaching to anyone who wants to achieve great things in triathlon and multisport." Bren
